The West Kootenay EcoSociety will host the Downtown Nelson Local Market in the 400 block of Baker St for its fifth year in a row. The market will run each Wednesday from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm June through to September, offering an amazing mix of local produce, plants, prepared foods, body care, and hand-made arts and crafts. Customers can rest assured that they are supporting the local economy due to the fact that 80% of each vendor's wares must be made locally to be sold at this market. The 4th Annual Branch Out Bike Tour. The tour is a 100 km bike ride that starts and ends at Panorama with the majority of the ride looping Lake Windermere. This year we expect to draw over 300 participants and volunteers and raise over $100,000 for neurological disorders.
