'Explore Historic Cranbrook' is a free self-guided tour of Cranbrook's heritage architecture from the late 1800s as well as local monuments, parks & other attractions.

Baker Hill is a heritage residential area dating from 1898, while the downtown core and the railway heritage infrastructure area provide additional experiences in local history. Tours, with a pre-planned route, can be started from the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel, or you can plan your own itinerary

Renowned for homemade bob-sled races, a snowboarding competition and live music over the span of a weekend, the winter carnival is a great way to enjoy what a skiing community has to offer.

People who listen to CBC Radio are familiar with the voice of Tom Allen. His programs are always filled with interesting facts about the selection, the composer, or our times. Not too many know he is an accomplished musician. With his musical friends - all stars in their own right - Tom Allen has created The Judgement of Paris, a mix of cabaret, history and story-telling with timeless music by Debussy and Ravel, as well as original songs by the performers. It is new and old, heroic and tragic, history and fiction - and may the best composer win.

For hockey fanatics, it's hard to imagine it getting any better than this. Invermere has been named the host city for this sanctioned qualifier BC Eastern Regional Pond Hockey Championships. Outdoor rinks, on either Lake Windermere or Lake Lillian, are approximately 75' x 150', nets are 6' wide and 10" tall and side boards are made of snow. It's 4-on-4 hockey with no goalies; teams can have up to 6 players.

Fusing the disciplines of backcountry slopestyle, big mountain, cliffs and alpine ski touring, Red Bull Cold Rush will return to Canada at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. A handful of the world's premier skiers will be officially invited to battle it out for a chunk of the $36,000 prize purse awarded to the most versatile, well-rounded freeskiers.
