Although Kimberley is a small city, it has more than thirty restaurants and coffee shops to satisfy any appetite.
From cozy teahouses and eclectic cafes and pubs to ethnic restaurants and finer dining options, Kimberley's menus offer burgers and fries, tapas, German, European, Thai, Mediterranean, Chinese and Canadian cuisine.
Bavarian and German Fare
In keeping with its alpine theme and its nickname of The Bavarian City of the Rockies, a few of Kimberley's restaurants (including in the Platzl) offer hearty sausages, schnitzel, sauerkraut and other German fare.
Enjoy bratwurst and German ale in the cozy dining room or, during the summer on its outdoor patio, at the Gasthaus Am Platzl. Typically a dinner spot, the Gasthaus is open for lunches during the summer months.
