Even before the expansion of the resort, the highway town of Golden already had an abundance of hotel accommodation.

Now, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort offers a variety of lodgings, mostly condominium style, adding a further 1,500 beds to the town's inventory. 

On-Mountain Lodging

At least ten different options are available in the "on-mountain" lodging category. The largest is located at the base near the Golden Eagle Express gondola. Guests can choose hotel rooms or self contained condo units, and have access to the lodge's hot tub, sauna, steam room and fitness facilities. The smallest and perhaps the most exclusive suites are at the very top of the gondola, perched on the mountain ridge.

Families and larger groups may prefer to rent a private vacation rental home at the resort – some are modest, while others are multi-million dollar mansions.

Staying in Golden

Most of the approximately 1,000 hotel rooms in Golden are conveniently located by Trans-Canada Highway. There are also a couple of B&Bs in town, along with a backpacker hostel. As well, the Golden area offers a wide selection of front-country lodges that provide comfortable accommodation and personal service.
