Boating in Kelowna is not just a pastime, but a passion. Okanagan Lake simply demands close encounters of the aquatic kind and the Kelowna area is fully geared up with all the boating services and amenities to make it happen.
Take to the water in a tow-boat or houseboat, canoe or kayak, jet-ski or paddle boat. Launch a personal craft at a public ramp. Motor to a secluded cove for a swim and a picnic, or just anchor and enjoy the sunshine in the middle of the lake. Trailer the fishing skiff or load the canoe on the rooftop rack for backcountry exploring.
There's no shortage of water to explore with an additional 200-plus smaller lakes located throughout the Okanagan region.

Docking and Dining
Some of Kelowna's best eateries extend a dock and a welcome to boaters. Find a seat under a shady umbrella or soak up the rays and take in the panoramic views. The Hotel Eldorado, which provides full marina services including boat rentals, fuel, and overnight moorage, features the legendary Boardwalk. Overlooking Okanagan Lake, the Boardwalk is a great place to sample a vintage from the hotel's 150 label wine cellar.
Cruise across the lake to West Kelowna for a meal at the Cove Lakeside Hotel. The Bonfire Restaurant & Bar specializes in the flavours of the Sonoran, Mojave, and Chihuahuan Desert regions. Just a few kilometers/miles north, dock and dine at Lake Okanagan Resort, which offers casual fare at Cabana's Patio Café or contemporary cuisine in the Chateau Dining Room.
Boat Tours and Cruises
Cruise Okanagan Lake with one of Kelowna's several charter operators. Take a themed afternoon or sunset cruise aboard the 23m/76ft Executive Boardroom houseboat. Board the Kelowna Princess II for an afternoon dining cruise, or book a Go With the Wind Cruises personalized tour aboard a 8m/26ft sailboat.
