Ainsworth Hot Springs
Ainsworth Hot Springs is a stand out among the numerous natural mineral hot springs in the Kootenay Rockies region for its inspiring location along the west shore of Kootenay Lake. Set against a backdrop of the Purcell Range, Ainsworth Hot Springs has three pools, the largest of which maintains a comfortable temperature of 35°C/96°F.
A unique horseshoe shaped cave serves as the source of the resort's 42°C/114°F mineral-rich spring water, and is the centerpiece of the Ainsworth experience. The hot pool is built out from the cave portals, allowing bathers to enjoy both the heat of the water and the high humidity of the interior of the cave. Those with a musical ear will notice the cave's cathedral-like acoustics.
