With some 200 restaurants in Kamloops, dining out has no limits. There are fine dining, casual fare, pub grub, and ethnic options to suit every budget. Grab a bite of lunch at a local café or deli, or partake in a traditional high tea at the Royal Victorian Tea House.

Tea Houses and Coffee Shops

The Royal Victorian Tea House (372 Seymour Street), located in a restored Kamloops heritage building across from the Kamloops Daily News building, serves a traditional high tea accompanied by fresh scones, fruit preserves, and rich Devonshire cream.

In addition to popular coffee chains, Kamloops also has a number of local cafes, such as Frankly Coffee (437 Lansdowne Street), which also serves wine, Cowboy Coffee, (229 Victoria St.), The Grind (705 Victoria St.), a popular spot with artists and musicians, and Caffeine (476 Victoria).

Fine Dining

Three fine dining options in downtown Kamloops are the Brownstone (118 Victoria St), located in an official 1904 heritage building, Bistro 326 (326 Victoria St.), and Felix On Fourth (260 4th Ave.)

Ethnic Eats

Peter's Pasta (149 Victoria Street) serves fresh house-made pasta, as well as other international dishes. Sanbiki (120-5th Avenue) serves traditional sushi with homemade sauces and organic veggies, making it a local favourite. For Indian cuisine, check out Maurya's (165 Victoria Street). Two good Greek restaurants are Minos (262 Tranquille Road) and Dorian Greek House (430 Victoria Street).

Dinner with a View

Chapter's Viewpoint (610 West Columbia Street) has a spectacular east/west/north panoramic view of Kamloops from its terraced dining room, while Sun Rivers Golf Course's restaurant, Hoodoos at Sun River (1000 Clubhouse Drive) features a south view of the city from its shaded patio.
