Invermere River Rafting

Several operators work the waters around Invermere. Top rivers for rafting include the wild Kootenay River to the east, the smaller Toby Creek in the west and the comparatively calm Columbia River that flows right through town. All protective gear is provided - just bring a bathing suit, towel, and a change of warm, dry clothing.

River Rafting Trips

With Kootenay River Runners, take a full-day trip on the Kootenay River, a mix of class II and III whitewater and easier flat stretches, or try a unique paddling experience on the Columbia River in a modern but traditionally styled 10m/34ft long voyageur canoe.

Join Glacier Raft Adventures for a family-friendly half-day trip down Toby Creek (kids must be at least eight years old) or take a scenic nature float through the Columbia Wetlands and observe the abundant wildlife and hundreds of birds in this important nature reserve.
