This wilderness spirit triathlon takes participants on an adventure. The mini-expedition starts in the natural mineral waters of the Fairmont Hot Springs, continues to the dizzying heights of 1,585 m (5,200 ft) at the top of the Ski Hill and finishes with a trail run. The short-distance format is doable by anyone with basic fitness. Swim - mountain bike - trail run - celebrate at all times. After the race, the public Canada Day celebration runs from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm. There is a BBQ & beer garden, kid's rock climbing, archery, bouncy castles, face painting, & various games. Prizes for every child. Fireworks at dusk.

The Heart of the Rockies Triathlon is an Olympic Distance Triathlon. The swim takes place in Lake Windermere, followed by an out & back cycle route & a single lap out & back run. It's a spectacular venue in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, with stunning views of Lake Windermere & the mountains. The Heart of the Rockies Triathlon is thrilled to have several family groups participate in both the individual & team events. Come and participate or spectate.

This weekend of races is going to be huge with 3 major races happening over 2 days! The Canada Cup is the top coordinated domestic racing series in Canada which provides athletes an outlet for preparation for national and international events while encouraging participation from all ages and ability levels. The downhill course will wind its way through Insanity and Quadzilla while the cross country race will be held on the new Mad Trapper course.

Complete as much of the course as you choose, at your own pace & comfort level. This 16th annual event welcomes walkers, runners, strollers & the whole family. The Lakeside Splashdown event involves paraglider & hang-glider pilots launching from Mount 7 in Invermere & attempting to land in a lake target for prizes. Enjoy 2 wonderful lakeside events.

The weekend loppet event is co-hosted with Nipika Mountain Resort and features a 30 km classic loppet on Saturday followed by a 20 km skate loppet on Sunday. These family friendly events also feature recreational distances of 15 km on Saturday and 10 km on Sunday and youth distances of 5 km and 10 km. Race registration for each event starts at 9:00 am with races starting at 11:00 am.
