Wineries & Vineyards

Contributing to the warm glow of life on this tight little island are three businesses with tasting rooms.
One specializes in cold-climate wines. Another makes mead, the so-called "nectar of the Gods." And a third is producing award-winning gin and vodka. All welcome visitors.
Island Spirits Distillery
Island Spirits Distillery specializes in small-batch ultra-premium gin and vodka. Its line of celebrated liquors – both martini-classic and infusions such as the Black Jelly Bean Sichuan Pepper vodka – are bottled under the pHROG label.
Discriminating critics like Jurgen Gothe and the sippers at Vancouver Magazine approve. The pHROG name is a tribute to the alchemical science of distilling and the frogs who chorus outside the company's wood-sided headquarters. Tours and tastings are held in July and August.
