Since Hope is at the crossroads of so many trips, it's a natural stopping place to fuel up and take a break.

Dairy Queen, McDonald's and Tim Hortons might satiate urgent munchies, but many of the family-run diners here have proven staying power and are venues where local hospitality is at its best.

Cafés and Picnics

There are a number of independent coffee houses, local faves being Blue Moose Coffee House (322 Wallace St), a cozily lit, unpretentious lounge of tables and deep-seated sofas. Muffins, javas, soups and salads are all good. There's internet access here, also. The Owl Street Café (19855 Owl St) is away from the downtown core and a destination hang-out.
