Harrison's natural hot springs established the community as a popular year round resort back in the late 1880s, and it has been the mainstay of tourism ever since. The Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa has the sole water rights to the hot springs, piping them to its five mineral pools directly from source almost a quarter of a mile away.

Three of these pools are outdoors: a lap pool, one for families and a curvy, adult-only pool with covered boardwalks on one side and sitting areas around it. The two indoor pools comprise a circular whirlpool and a cooler lap pool. According to the resort, the waters average 1300ppm (parts per million) of dissolved mineral solids, one of the highest concentrations of any mineral spring so naturally, they've been incorporated into several spa treatments. The Healing Springs Spa's signature room is a sunken slate-lined two-person soaking tub filled with un-chlorinated filtered spring water under a ceiling of simulated twinkling stars.

Note that the hotel pools are for the exclusive use of hotel guests, and it's not unusual to see people wandering around the hotel in white terry-toweling robes. Some rooms provide them but if not, robes can be rented at the front desk for $5 a day.
Harrison Public Pool
For non-guests, the resort also operates Harrison Public Pool, located in the centre of the village. This indoor pool is open daily, year round. Bathers can purchase one dip tickets as well as day passes. Locker and towel rentals are also available for a nominal fee.
