Galiano Island

Hotel room

Galiano Island boasts a fine assortment of secluded, often waterfront, lodgings ranging from affordable and funky cabins to heritage log homes and one all-inclusive and elegant resort spa.

Enjoy breakfast at a baker's dozen of good B&Bs on Galiano or get creative in the kitchens at 40 more cottages, cabins, and rental homes.

Bonus: Many are clustered within easy walking distance of the Sturdies Bay ferry dock, and a number of south-end establishments will pick up guests on arrival. Two campgrounds and a few more remote getaways at the island's north end and its Ganner Drive mid-point are also available. A handful of mid-island getaway spots are sweetly poised at the ocean's edge amidst red-limbed arbutus groves.

Montague Harbour Marine Provincial Park has vehicle-accessible campsites and walk-in spots for boaters, hikers and cyclists in the forest. It's a classic BC summer spot, packed to capacity during the holiday season and a lovely, peaceful refuge for shoulder-season campers. Boaters and kayakers can reach the otherwise inaccessible Dionisio Point Provincial Park at Galiano's northern tip where they can stargaze from 30 wilderness camp sites.
