Fort St. John's northern latitude provides extended daylight hours, allowing golfers to tee off as last as 7pm in June and July at any of three local golf courses.
Lake Point Golf & Country Club
Lake Point Golf & Country Club has a beautifully manicured golf course lined with aspen trees, and set along the shores of Charlie Lake. Beginners and experts alike enjoy this challenging 18-hole course, which is surrounded by beautiful views of the lake and surrounding wildlife, including numerous songbirds. The country club features a pro shop with equipment rentals, and offers Canadian Professional Golfers Association (CPGA) lessons. Hungry golfers can satisfy their appetites at the on-site licensed clubhouse restaurant, or at Jackfish Dundees Pub, less than a 10-minute drive away.

To reach Lake Point Golf & Country Club, drive north from Fort St. John on the Alaska Highway, turn right at Mile 54, and drive east, turning right again, and then driving to the bottom of the hill.
Fort St. John Links Golf Course
Fort St. John Links Golf Course (12707 - 86th St) is a par 36, 9-hole course conveniently located within city limits. This is an excellent course for golfers flying solo or with families. Bunkers, and several water hazards, including a deep but short ravine, provide an exciting but manageable challenge. Links has a pro shop, equipment rentals, and licensed clubhouse and concession with a patio deck. A flush toilet and sink are located on the 5th hole. Drive north on 100th Street, turn right on 119th Avenue (By-pass road) past Northern Lights College, and then left to Links Golf Course.
Lone Wolf Golf Course
Lone Wolf Golf Club, an 18-hole, par 72 course located in nearby Taylor within the Peace River valley, just 15 minutes from Fort St. John. This course features forgiving, relatively flat fairways for newer golfers, as well as a number of challenging hazards, and well-maintained, bent-grass greens. For golfers looking for a relaxing jaunt, or those not so keen on golfing, there is also a beautiful trail system around Lone Wolf.
