Takes place at the Fernie Secondary School from 11:00 am-11:00 pm.

Furious3 is a three-day mountain bike stage race that will challenge riders at all levels of experience.

Fernie has a little bit of every kind of riding imaginable. There are steep, singletrack uphills, technical downhills, flowing bermy trails, rainforest routes & leisurely fun trails.

Furious3 incorporates these & more to make the perfect mountain bike challenge. Three days of some of the best trails & terrain that British Columbia & Canada has to offer.

One of the biggest compliments this race gets is that the courses are spectacular & challenging & the competitors' friends & families can come out to support the riders.

Mudd, Sweat & Tears Rockies is a 10k charity obstacle course mud run, set at Fernie Alpine Resort, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Expect to reconnect with nature, heart breaking slopes, tons of mud and obstacles, 10k to push your limits and a big after party for all mudders, family and friends.

Every Sunday in Summer, Fernie's Downtown comes alive with the sights, smells, sounds and fun of the Mountain Market and Summer Socials.

From 10:00 am-2:00 pm peruse local crafts, produce and art at the Mountain Market in Rotary Park while the kids enjoy the large playground.

Then from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm, head to Historic Downtown Fernie and 2nd Avenue for the Summer Social. Each week a different theme is celebrated, from Classic Cars to Sports and Games, with lots of activities to keep the kids entertained while the adults relax in the beverage garden and enjoy live entertainment.

The ultimate challenge for hard core climbers. This challenging mountain bike race starts at the base area of the Fernie Alpine Resort & climbs to the top of the Timber Express Chairlift - 640 vertical metres (2,100 ft).

The Fernie Writers' Conference is a celebration of writers and writing with courses, readings, panel discussions and other events forming a educational experience for writers and readers alike.

The conference brings award-winning writers from across Canada to instruct, read and present to a diverse audience from BC and beyond.

The conference culminates with a two-day festival of writing and reading that is open to all.
