Getting There
No matter how you choose to get to the world-class resort of Whistler, you're sure to enjoy the trip. Over land (by car, train or bus), the journey really begins at Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver - the gateway to the scenic Sea-to-Sky corridor. Ascending gradually, you'll pass through coastal rainforest, around an island-dotted fjord, glimpse a granite monolith, marvel at one of Canada's tallest waterfalls and several pristine lakes before you reach your destination. Of course, if you choose to fly between Vancouver and Whistler, you'll see all this and more.
Getting Around
Whistler is a world-class resort municipality with well-developed and well-maintained public infrastructure. Whistler Village, where the vast majority of the area's shops, restaurants and services are concentrated, is pedestrian-only but you can drive right to the edge of it and park for several hours or several days, according to your needs. Public transport buses run through every Whistler neighbourhood. There are also several taxi and limousine services in town.
