Regular flights to Kamloops International Airport (YKA) and Kelowna International Airport (YLW), VIA Rail and Greyhound Bus service to Kamloops, and resort shuttles make traveling to Sun Peaks Resort easy and efficient. Driving is also a good option with vehicle rentals available at several nearby communities and airports.

Car Travel

From Kamloops: Take the Highway 5 North and look for signs to Heffley Creek & Sun Peaks. Driving time to the Hefley Creek turn-off is about 20 minutes. Turn right at Heffley Creek and take the first left at the General Store and drive for 25 minutes along the two-lane paved road up the mountain and into the resort village.

From Vancouver: Take the Trans-Canada Highway 1 eastbound from Vancouver to Hope. Once in Hope, choose from two options to Kamloops, either by the Coquihalla Highway 5 or Highway 1 Eastbound. Once arriving in Kamloops, take the turnoff to Jasper along Highway 5 to Hefley Creek and Sun Peaks. Total driving time is about 4.5 hours.

From Seattle: Take I-5 North to Bellingham, exit on Meridian Street heading East and then head north to the Sumas border crossing. Once in Canada, take the Trans-Canada Highway 1 eastbound to Hope and follow the same directions given from Vancouver, beginning in Hope. Driving time from downtown Seattle to the Sumas border crossing is about 2.5 hours.

From Kelowna International Airport (YLW): Turn right onto Highway 97 North and stay on the highway passing Vernon. Turn left towards Kamloops on Highway 97 North and drive for 79km/49mi, passing through Falkland and Westwold. Stay in the left lane and take the Highway 1 West ramp driving 26km/16mi to the Highway 5 North exit to Jasper. Follow the signs to Hefley Creek and Sun Peaks. Driving time from the Kelowna Airport is 1.7 hours.

Shuttle Service

A variety of shuttle service operators transport visitors to Sin Peaks Resort from bus terminals, airports, and other resorts. Information is available by contacting Sun Peaks Central Reservations. Shuttles are available from the Vancouver, Kelowna, and Kamloops International Airports; downtown Kamloops and the Kamloops Greyhound terminal; and Whistler Blackcomb Resort, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Silver Star Resort, and Big White Resort.

Sun Peaks' Bus Service

Sun Peaks' bus service brings visitors to lifts at the Village Day Lodge. This complimentary morning and afternoon service is available to all resort guests. The Bus leaves from the east side of the resort near Woodhaven and P5 continuing past the village. The entire loop takes about 30 minutes.
