SkyTrain (a rapid transit system) brings travelers from the airport to downtown Vancouver in 26 minutes. In total, Richmond will have seven Canada Line SkyTrain stations: YVR-Airport, Sea Island Centre, Templeton, Bridgeport, Richmond-Brighouse, Lansdowne, and Aberdeen. Richmond has been designated as a Venue City for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and the Richmond Oval speed-skating complex is located near the Lansdowne station. Regular TransLink fares apply.

Cycling, rollerblading, and walking are also options in certain areas of Richmond, particularly due to its flat, sea-level terrain.
