Floatplane on Harrison Lake, Tourism BC photo
Located in the Fraser Valley on the shores of Harrison Lake, Harrison Hot Springs is only a 90-minute drive east from Vancouver, or less than three hours north of Seattle.
Car Travel Driving is by far the easiest way of reaching Harrison Hot Springs, either on Highway 1 (exit 135) or the more scenic, slower paced Highway 7 that winds through the countryside. Many travelers do one route to get to Harrison and the other for the return journey. While vehicle rentals are available in Vancouver, there are no car rental agencies in Harrison.
Air Travel Arrivals to Vancouver International Airport in Richmond or to Abbotsford International Airport are best advised to rent a car to reach Harrison. The latter airport is located 40 miles south west of Harrison Hot Springs. Regional airlines, mostly from Vancouver and Seattle, do operate floatplane service directly to Harrison Lake where docking facilities available. Public Transportation Chilliwack Transit operates a limited service to Harrison and surrounding communities.
Boat Travel Harrison Hot Springs is accessible by boat from Vancouver via the Fraser and Harrison Rivers. Contact the lake marinas to pre-arrange for moorage.
Getting Around The easiest way to enjoy the region is by car. With country roads that are generally flat, biking is easy; bicycle and canopied quadra-cycle rentals are available in the Village Mall across from the public pool. Walking, especially around the small downtown core is highly recommended.
Maps The Visitor Centre has a handy, large-format village and lake map, as well as two self-drive exploring maps: the Scenic 7 highway map, courtesy of Fraser Valley Regional District, and the Circle Farm Tour map.
