The most practical way to experience Cache Creek and the surrounding area is by car or RV. However, public transportation is also an option.

Car Travel

Cache Creek is located at the junction of Highway 97 and the Trans-Canada Highway 1, some 193km/121mi north of Hope, 15km/10mi north of Ashcroft, and 84km/53mi west of Kamloops. Driving from the east, take the Trans-Canada Hwy from Kamloops; from the west coast take the Trans Canada throughout the Fraser Canyon (360km/223mi) or the Coquihalla Highway through Kamloops. Car rentals are available in Kamloops.

Public Transportation

Greyhound Bus provides daily service from Cache Creek to Vancouver, Kamloops, and other locations north and east. Also, VIA Rail operates between Vancouver and Ashcroft, and from Edmonton/Calgary, Alberta.

Air Travel

The nearest air traffic facility is at the Kamloops International Airport, 86km/54mi from Cache Creek. Kamloops Airport (YKA) is operated by YVR Airport Services Ltd. and provides air service throughout North America with connections to virtually every part of the world though Air Canada Jazz and WestJet. Rental cars are available at the airport as well as through local hotels. There is also an airport midway between Cache Creek and Ashcroft, but it caters only to private aircraft.

Stop by the Visitor Centre for more information about transportation options in Cache Creek and to pick up maps of the local area.
