 South Fraser Way, Tourism Abbotsford photo There is a smaller, commercial border crossing at Aldergrove/Lynden in Whatcom County; however it is only open 8am-midnight. Car & Travel & Rentals Driving is the most practical way to explore Abbotsford. Car rental agencies such as Avis and Budge are located at the airport and downtown. RV rentals are available through A&G RV Rentals or Four Seasons RV Rentals.
Air Travel Abbotsford International Airport is Vancouver's secondary airport and the primary gateway for many regional airlines, charter companies and tour operators. More than 500,000 passengers pass through this airport annually; current upgrades are preparing to handle many more. On site car/truck rental agencies include Avis, Budget and National. Valley Airporter provides shuttle services between the airport and various hotels, motels and some business addresses throughout Abbotsford and into the rest of the Fraser Valley. Airport Super Shuttle has routes between the two airports as well as to several communities en route to downtown Vancouver as well as stops heading east to Hope. Public Transportation Central Fraser Valley Transit System offers a connecting bus service to many of Abbotsford's communities, as well as a link to Mission where the West Coast Express commuter train runs into Vancouver. Greyhound Bus has several daily trips from Vancouver to Abbotsford.
Train Travel There is no train travel directly into Abbotsford; commuters take the WestCoast Express from Vancouver to Mission and take a Fraser Valley connector bus into Abbotsford.
