Mount Washington Alpine Resort

As the largest snow-activity facility on Vancouver Island, Mount Washington Alpine Resort is a winter sports paradise. Snowshoeing is a large -and growing- part of the festivities. In fact, the mountain maintains 20 km (12 mi) of trails in serene, alpine meadows, much to the delight of snowshoeing aficionados. Those adventurers seeking winter challenges can also test their mettle ski touring and snow camping on the mountain.

Mount Washington is located on Vancouver Island, a 20-minute drive west of Courtenay and Comox, as well as just over an hour's drive north of Nanaimo.
