Three Mountains Each of Sun Peaks' three mountains has a unique personality. Tod Mountain (elevation 2,152m/7060ft) was the first of the three to open to the public in 1961. Skiers can test their deep powder skills in alpine bowls or connect with the webs of downhill runs that lead to the village via the Burfield chair, which runs from bottom to top on the west side of Tod Mountain. Sundance Mountain has a variety of long cruising runs and is home to both the Terrain Park and the Tuber Time area for kids. From the top of Sundance access the Morrisey Connector that leads to Mount Morrisey, running through and around the forest.
Snowboarding & Terrain Park Snowboarders have access to all of the Sun Peaks ski runs, as well as a terrain park (the site of several competitions held during the year). Set on 9ha/3.6ac, the park is designed for skills progression with three zones of various features, each for a different skill level. Downhill Ski And Snowboard Lessons Sun Peaks has downhill ski and snowboard lessons suited to all ability levels. Youth and adult lessons accommodate ages 13 and over. Sun Tots programs are for children three to five years of age, while Sun Kids programs are designed for children five to 12 years of age. Snowboard lessons are available for children beginning at the age of eight. Downhill ski and snowboard training programs are available for children three to five years of age, and five to 12 years of age. Both are geared toward the development of the key muscle groups children require for these activities. There are also children's racing programs. Childcare services are available.
Night Skiing One of Sun Peak's most popular evenings in winter begins with taking the Sunburst Express chairlift to the Sunburst Restaurant for dinner accompanied by live music. After the meal diners cruise down the 8km/5mi torch-lit slopes with guides.
