Welcome to Whitewater Winter Resort in BC's Kootenay Rockies region. This resort has the ideal conditions for a spectacular skiing or boarding vacation: champagne powder; an idyllic location in BC's renowned Selkirk Mountains; magnificent scenery; and seemingly endless skiing and snowboarding terrain.
 
Whitewater also has a full range of winter activities for all ages and levels that includes cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The resort is just a 15-minute drive from the charming, heritage town of Nelson, where all types of accommodations to fit all budgets can be found.

The resort also offers a number of winter training courses including Avalanche Awareness and Skills, Backcountry Touring, Ski/Snowboard instructor training, and holds a number of family-friendly events, including the Kootenay Coldsmoke PowderFest (usually held in late February), which appeals to backcountry skiiers.
