Victoria Water Activities

Make a splash.

Smuggler's Cove

For coastal island cities like Victoria, an abundance of saltwater swimming, boating and fishing opportunities is a given. However, few places on earth enjoy all this and a rich endowment of pristine freshwater lakes, streams and rivers as well.

It's a part of the world that seems purpose-built for enjoying a day out on or near the water. There are many sandy beaches perfect for soaking up the sun, combing for driftwood or building sand castles. Calm, clean waters welcome swimmers, anglers and kayakers alike. Then there's the scenery: depending on where you go, it can include mountain ranges, old-growth forests, marshlands, waterfalls, spectacular rock formations and island chains.
