One of the best ways to see British Columbia is from the comfort of an RV (recreational vehicle). Rent an RV for the freedom to go when and where you want. Plan a point-to-point trip – such as a Circle Route – or travel with no real destination in mind and stop when something catches your eye. Along the way, stay in a variety of parks or campgrounds.
Types of RV Rentals
Rental RVs come in all shapes and sizes: van conversions, truck campers, fifth wheels, travel trailers, folding camping trailers, motorhomes or camper vans. They are either driven or towed, range from basic to deluxe, and can sleep anywhere from 2 to 6 adults. Some rental companies allow one-way RV rentals (often between Vancouver and Calgary), and can arrange pick-ups or drop-offs to and from area hotels and airports. Travellers arriving after a long flight are advised to spend their first night in a hotel to ensure they are well-rested before driving an RV.
Most rental companies have personal or vehicle kits for rent, which can include items such as bedding/sleeping bags, towels, cutlery, cooking utensils and more.

RV License and Age Requirements
The majority of RVs do not require a special license to drive or tow. Drivers always need a valid driver’s license from their own country; international licenses are recommended, but not required. Experienced car drivers generally adapt quickly to driving an RV, and rental companies will provide instruction. The minimum age to rent an RV usually ranges from 21 – 25. Some companies also have a maximum age for rentals (usually 70 or 75 years of age).
