Whitewater Rafting
Take an exhilarating whitewater ride down the mighty Fraser River, which flows from Mount Robson 1375km/870mi south into the Strait of Georgia. All guided whitewater rafting trips begin with a safety course covering proper equipment use and best practices when rafting. All equipment is provided. Trips usually cover 2,5km/1,5mi of the river. Visitors can choose from two local operators, Mount Robson Whitewater Rafting and Stellar Descents. Gentler floats (with no paddling involved) down the Fraser via large rafts are also available with Eagle Raft Tours
ATVing
Valemount's vast winter snowmobiling terrain is used for exciting ATV touring during the rest of the year. A network of trails and logging roads allow ATVers access to alpine meadows, lakes, and creeks. Several operators in Valemount offer guided ATV tours (for beginner to advanced riders) and equipment rentals. Among them are Alpine Country Rental Tours and Mica Mountain Lodge ATV Tours. Mica Mountain Lodge also features wildlife interpretive tours, during which riders learn how to recognize specific animal tracks.
