Linger on the sandy shores or wade into the shallow lakes of Whistler's beaches. No tides, currents or sharp rocks will disturb your swim through clear waters. Pack your favourite foods and enjoy a picnic or barbecue at the shore.

Many of Whistler's beaches also offer kayak or canoe rentals. Some have volleyball and tennis courts. Whistler beaches are easily accessible and feature great amenities for families, including kids' play areas.

A word or two on your excursion:

  • If travelling with pets, be aware that restrictions may apply

A word or two on safety:

  • No lifeguards on duty

Lakeside Park

This quaint beach makes a great get-away for the whole family. It's equipped with a kids' play area, picnic tables and barbecue. Dive into the warm waters or rent canoes, boats and windsurfers.

Lost Lake

Lost Lake isn't really lost, but it is secluded. This popular sandy beach has a kids' play area, picnic tables and a concession stand. The shallow swimming area is perfect for junior swimmers.

Alpha Lake Park

Alpha Lake Park has a delightful beach on its north side, as well as picnic tables with elevated barbecues on a grass lawn. If you've got energy to burn, test your skills on the volleyball and tennis courts, or enjoy the kids' play area. Canoe and dinghy rentals are also available.

Alpha Lake Park is located at the south end of Whistler Valley near Creekside.

Meadow Park

This idyllic picnic spot is set on the banks of the River of Golden Dreams. From here you can behold one of the valley's most magnificent views of Blackcomb and Whistler Mountains.

You can find Meadow Park in Alpine Meadows.

Wayside Park

While Wayside Park's beach may be small, it still has all the attractions: clear water, barbeques, picnic tables and kayak rentals.
