Winter, spring, summer or fall, Kicking Horse is an ideal vacation resort.

High-level moisture, sun and dry, low-level air help to create champagne powder, much to the delight of downhill skiers and snowboarders. The resort has a growing reputation for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and nearby heli-skiing and cat-skiing opportunities as well.

During the warmer months, the area offers superb alpine and mountain-top hiking. While routes vary in length and challenge, hikers, no matter their ability, experience rushing waters, alpine meadows and stunning glaciers.

Mountain biking can only be described as exhilarating: at 1,128 m (3,700 f), Kicking Horse offers one of the longest, lift-accessed descents in North America.
