Cache Creek's festival and events celebrate the town's retro 1950s theme, car racing enthusiasm, First Nations culture, and aviation. At nearby Ashcroft, the Ashcroft Arts and Crafts Show and Sale in spring showcases local artists, while the Ashcroft & District Fall Fair, features locally grown foods, flowers, vegetables, and entertainment.
Graffiti Days In Cache Creek, Graffiti Days is the town's biggest weekend celebration of the year. A 1950s-themed festival held in early June, the event features dozens of classic cars, trucks, and bikes that gather for a day in the park. Garffiti Days is held in conjunction with the Langley Loafers Old Time Drags (at the Eagle Motorplex), which includes a parade, displays of old cars, a giant BBQ, and dance.
Cars on Ice In mid-winter, the Cars on Ice racing event takes place on nearby Barnes Lake (a ten minute drive from Ashcroft), attracting ice-racers from all over British Columbia and Washington State. No studs are allowed on race tires so it's rubber-to-ice, often resulting in some spectacular moments.
Bonaparte Pow Wow The traditional Bonaparte Pow Wow, held in August at the Hat Creek Ranch, brings together drummers, dancers, and singers to celebrate First Nations heritage at this three-day event. Visitors are invited to participate in certain dances. As well, First Nations artists display their art work and there's a selection of traditional foods.
Mother's Day Aircraft Festival On Mother's Day every year, the Campbell Hill Airport, on the edge of Cache Creek, is the site of a huge fly-in of private aircraft. The celebration of local aviation history begins with a pancake breakfast and continues throughout the day with a variety of aircraft demonstrations and hands-on experiences with the aircraft. Stop by the Cache Creek Visitor Centre for more information about annual festivals and events that take place in and around town.
