Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Festivals & Events

Festivals and events take place year-round in the Vancouver, Coast and Mountains region. In the summer, outdoor theatre like the annual Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival is popular in Vancouver. Come winter, Whistler is alive with all kinds of snow-related sport events and festivities. Meanwhile, art dominates the scene on the Sunshine Coast, and the Fraser Valley is the place to catch a rodeo.

The arts permeate every corner of the region. Against this creative, West Coast landscape, artists such as Haida carver Robert Davidson, writer Nick Bantock, artisan Sid Dickens and designer Martha Sturday, work and live, as do countless entertainers and actors. All destinations offer a unique and enjoyable arts and culture experience, from music and performing arts, glass blowing and fibre arts, to celebrations of food and wine, literature and laughs.
