Visitors seeking retail therapy in the the Vancouver, Coast & Mountains region can shop 'till they drop. From high fashion to products from local designers and from antique furniture to name brand department stores, the region has an abundance of amazing and diverse finds.

Shopping in Vancouver

The cosmopolitan city of Vancouver offers a dazzling array of shopping districts. In particular, the must-see shops are found on chic, downtown Robson Street which has a number of big name brand retailers and is also a great place to people watch.

Learn more about shopping on Robson Street in Vancouver by clicking on Field Reporter Simon's video below.

Gastown and Main Street are both eclectic shopping areas where quirky clothes and furniture can be sourced from great local designers as well as unique and funky vintage pieces. Yaletown, once an industrial area, has now been converted into one of the trendiest locations in the city. The latest clothing trends are imported from the States and Europe as well as from around Canada. Do a little shopping and then stop at a spa or one of the area's many restaurant patios for a bite to eat.

Browse arty boutiques and stalls or pick up a mouthwatering array of international cuisine to go at the waterside locations of Granville Island, Westminster Quay and Lonsdale Quay.

Shopping in Whistler

On a smaller -but no less impressive- scale, are the superlative shops of the celebrated, pedestrian-only Whistler Village. Window shoppers can view everything from upscale clothing boutiques and ski outfitters to high-end art galleries.

Shopping in the Fraser Valley

If the accumulation of fresh vegetables and sweet fruit and world class wines defines a successful shopping venture, then head to the Fraser Valley, just east of Greater Vancouver. Purchase locally-grown produce from any of the several wineries and countless, well-stocked farmers' markets.

Shopping for Arts & Crafts

Sea to Sky Country is an area rich in First Nations culture, as is the Sunshine Coast, which is known for its thriving arts community. Here shoppers will find a large collection of paintings, sculptures, carvings, pottery, weavings and jewellery by internationally reknown artists.
