From high riding bronco bucks to fast-flying hockey pucks, sports in the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast take many forms. Rodeos are big in this region, particularly the renowned four-day Williams Lake Stampede held annually over the July 1st (Canada Day) long weekend. Watch top riders compete in bull riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling and calf roping. Numerous smaller summer rodeos are also worth checking out, including the Little Britches Rodeo (100 Mile House), Clinton Rodeo, Bella Coola Rodeo and Anahim Lake Rodeo.
Don't miss the Canadian Junior "A" action in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) from September to March. Come out to cheer on the region's two teams: Williams Lake TimberWolves and Quesnel Millionaires.
