Just one hour's drive east of Vancouver lies the rich and fertile Fraser Valley. The largest agricultural region in British Columbia, it is home to more than 10 wineries covering approximately 70 acres of vineyards.
The greatest concentration of wineries can be around Langley and Fort Langley. Many of these are family-owned and managed with hands-on attention.

Getting to the Wineries Wine Tours Winery Highlights Wine growing success in the Vancouver Coast & Mountains region is largely due to the Domaine de Chaberton winery. Opening in 1991, it established the Fraser Valley as a credible wine-growing area. While there is a large amount of precipitation in the spring, winter and fall, this region is very dry in the summer months. The temperate climate is excellent for grapes to ripen early.
