Celebrate the bravura performances at Whistler.
Summer brings the Whistler Jazz and Blues Festival to town with its selection of cool jazz, soulful blues and Latin rhythms at venues throughout Whistler Village. Visit the landmark Maurice Young Millennium Place to experience the pulse of Whistler's cultural community. You'll enjoy a wide variety of music, dance, plays, children's shows and other special events.
There are street concerts and free shows at many popular Whistler venues including the Crystal Lounge, Brewhouse Pub, Araxi Restaurant & Bar and Garfinkel's. Catch these as well as ticketed daily and evening performances throughout the Village.
A word or two on your visit:
Designed as the cultural focal point for this vibrant community, the landmark Maurice Young Millennium Place (MY Place) is where both residents and visitors gather for community activities.
MY Place hosts concerts, festivals, plays, lectures and more. Visit Wihelmsen Hall for a jazz series or a chamber music performance. MY Place also stages children's shows.
In addition to its role as an arts and cultural venue, MY Place houses a daycare centre, meditation room, teen centre and chapel. The MY Place theatre doubles as a setting for Warren Miller's extreme skiing films.
MY Place is located in Whistler Village.
