Victorians are proud of their history, and it shows in carefully preserved residential, commercial and public buildings from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. These include Craigdarroch Castle, Helmcken House, Carr House, Point Ellice House, Craigflower Manor and Schoolhouse and the barracks at Fort Rodd Hill.

As British Columbia's capital city, Victoria is also home to grand public buildings and structures that include the BC Legislative Buildings, Fairmont Empress Hotel as well as Christ Church and St. Andrew's Cathedrals.
