There are many authentically restored historic sites in the Thompson Okanagan, mostly dating from between the gold-rush and Depression eras.
Visit R.J. Haney Heritage Park for its rustic log structures. You can also view an 1877 flour mill, a turn-of-the-century railway station, a gold-rush era roadhouse and Canada's largest remaining sternwheeler. There is also the architecturally eye-popping Pyramid Wine Cellar at Summerhill Winery, an eight-percent, concrete replica of the Great Pyramid in Egypt. Don't miss the Okanagan Lake Floating Bridge, a marvel of engineering.
