Whistler Blackcomb is a hiking and mountain-biking paradise. The resort offers easy access to some of the most spectacular hiking on the continent for trekkers of every ability, with myriad trails of all lengths that wind past waterfalls, lakes and meadows awash in alpine flowers en route to panoramic vistas of the surrounding area. The resort also lies in close proximity to the rugged yet magnificent backcountry treks of Garibaldi Provincial Park.
As for riding, this is one of North America’s top mountain-biking destinations: the Whistler Bike Park is the continent’s largest, offering a vast terrain for mountain bikers of all abilities that consists of 200 km (124 mi) of lift-serviced trails. The paved, low-grade Valley Trails winds through Whistler Village and the surrounding valley, ideal for novices and families, while more adventurous riders can opt for guided heli-biking.
