Action Star

Silver Star Mountain Resort is all about hiking and mountain biking during the summer months. The mountain is known for some wonderful hiking trails that lead past meadows blooming with wildflowers as well as an abandoned silver mine. Trails lead to the peak, with astonishing panoramic views of the Okanagan Valley and Monashee Mountains. During the summer months, guided, interpretive tours are offered that focus on flora and fauna, including Black Bears and one of their favourite foods, berries.

The resort offers mountain-biking enthusiasts 488 m (1,600 ft) of thrilling vertical downhill on trails for riders of all abilities. And Silver Star gets riders up to the trails in just 7.5 minutes on the bike park’s Comet Express, Canada’s largest mountain-bike chairlift. There are gentle, paved paths through sub-alpine forest for families and beginners, steep single-track with fast lines for experts seeking a challenge as well as many tracks for intermediates looking for a rollicking, good time.
