All Season Red

Red Resort is a terrific summer destination for hiking and mountain biking. It’s located just a 5-minute drive from the charming town of Rossland, often referred to as "Canada’s Mountain Biking Capital." Many hikes begin on Red Mountain and then extend into the local mountain range, leading to panoramic vistas of the surrounding area, including the Valhalla Mountains and Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park.

Mountain bikers have access to a remarkable bike park that features, in addition to six tremendous runs, a skills practice area and Biker-X track. There are also hundreds of kilometres (miles) of trails in and around Rossland –wagon roads, rail grades and pack trails– left over from the town’s mining heyday that make for fantastic, varied thrills for mountain-bikers and hikers of all abilities.

While some restaurants and accommodations at Red Resort are open year-round, most visitors make day trips to the mountain and stay in the Rossland area.
