Apex Mountain Resort offers a number of wonderful options for hikers of all abilities. Visitors will discover a mix of trails to choose from; some begin at the base of the mountain, while other trailheads start at the top of the chairlift. During the summer months, those hikers trekking through sub-alpine areas will find meadows awash in wildflowers. Those who head to higher ground are rewarded with outstanding vistas of the area, including Manning and Cathedral Provincial Parks. Prometheus Trail (Intermediate) leads to the top of Mount Riordan and one of the most exquisite views of the surrounding region. Please note that many of the trails are shared with horseback riders. During the summer months, Apex’ chairlift is open weekends and public holidays from July 1 to September 4.
