Many of these courses are concentrated along a 250km/155mi stretch of highway between Victoria and Campbell River .

Golf Courses, Awards, and Accolades Arbutus Ridge Golf Club was voted the Best Destination Golf Course in British Columbia by Golf Nerve Magazine in 2006. Its ocean and neighboring island views, challenging signature 17th hole, as well as its verdant, wine country neighbor, the Cowichan Valley , makes Arbutus a Vancouver Island golf hotspot. Westin Bear Mountain Vicitoria Golf Resort Victoria , its spectacular 19th hole offers 360-degree views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, and Juan de Fuca Strait. The course was voted #63 in Condé Nast Traveler Courtenay resides at the foot of Vancouver Island’s Beaufort Mountains, home to the Comox Glacier. With massive bunkers and challenging water hazards along with an award-winning clubhouse, visiting golfers are in for an unforgettable day on this central island course. Booking a Golfing Trip in the Vancouver Island Region Tee times should be booked in advance of arrival, especially during July and August. Also, many courses have a dress code in effect.
