This small city offers three championship golf courses within the city limits and, each only a short drive from each other.Bootleg Gap Bootleg Gap Golf offers two championship courses and both cater to all abilities. The 18-hole (7,000yd) championship course is designed by acclaimed architect Les Furber. The 9-hole (2,500 yd), the Gap 9 provides a unique challenge to the popular 18-hole Bootleg Gap. Golf Digest readers have even noted it for its fantastic views. Bootleg is located off Highway 93A in south Kimberley and is open between April and October. Trickle Creek Trickle Creek Golf Resort is another Kimberley course designed by renowned architect Les Fuber. This 18-hole (6,896yd) championship course is nestled against the North Star Mountain and offers magnificent vistas. Dramatic elevation changes through the alpine forest offers a challenging and thrilling round. Trickle Creek opens a month later, in May, and the season runs until October. It is located on Gerry Sorensen Way, in Kimberley. Kimberley Golf Club The serene Kimberley Golf Club on 302nd Ave, in Marysville, has been in existence since 1924, and is considered a classic and charming course by its many dedicated players. It has also played host to several provincial and regional tournaments, including the longest-running amateur one in Western Canada: The Wood Vallance. The well-manicured fairways on this mature, 18-hole (6,253yd) course wind through towering ponderosa pines with mountain views in the background. Golf Season and Booking The golf season in Kimberley generally runs from April to mid-October (depending on the course) with the busiest months in July, August and September. The fall brings a multitude of alpine colours and is the perfect time to visit for those seeking a quieter get-away. Advance tee-time bookings are recommended throughout the golf season.
