The varied landscape around Comox - ocean, mountains and forests - provides picture-postcard backdrops for nine golf courses in and around the Comox Valley. Six courses are open year-round, with golf packages available through hotels, motels and resorts. All boast stunning mountain views.
Comox Golf Courses
Comox is a golf hub with four courses within easy reach. The Comox Golf Club is a nine-hole course in walking distance of the Comox Marina, shopping and dining. Visitors are welcome to drop in anytime and join up with club members. Glacier Greens Golf Course is just 4.8km/3mi from central Comox. It welcomes visitors with a manicured 18-hole course in a woodlands setting, gorgeous mountain views and a patio overlooking the 18th green.
Longlands Executive Par 3 Golf Course
Comox's 30-year-old Longlands Executive Par 3 Golf Course offers a lovely natural setting, 18 holes of golf and a menu at FORE!, its restaurant, focusing on local bounty and the haute likes of foie gras, lobster ravioli, seared swordfish and roast venison. For weekend breakfasts, chef Andrew Martin turns to his Scottish roots with kedgeree, an alp of rice topped with smoked salmon, grilled haddock and boiled eggs, then capped with a poached egg.
Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community
The Crown Isle Resort & Golf Community is 7.4km/4mi from central Comox, a 336ha/831ac complex marrying award-winning, Platinum-rated, championship course and golf community. The 18-hole, Par 72 course boasts an outstanding driving range with chipping and putting greens and practice bunkers. Marvellous views of the Beaufort mountains, 11 lakes and eye-filling fairways complete a vision of Vancouver Island golf at its most sumptuous. The clubhouse is almost as showy. A sweeping, curving staircase and fireplace hallmark the lobby. The Cigar & Cognac Room invites 21st century aristocrats. The nearby Classic Car Museum showcases 1950s and 1960s Chevrolets and Fords once owned by celebrities. Not to mention two restaurants, snack bar, pro shop, poker room and an indoor waterfall.
