Both Semlin Valley Golf Course and Tobiano Golf Course are easily accessible from Ashcroft. Great golfing awaits 11.5km/7.1mi north at Semlin, and at Tobiano, 61.9km/38.5mi from town in Kamloops.
Semlin Valley Golf Course Semlin Valley Golf Course is a nine-hole, 2944 yard, par 35 public golf course located on the hillside just 1km/.75mi east of Cache Creek on the Trans-Canada Highway. Locally known as the toughest nine-hole course in British Columbia, the course has a meandering layout features lush, well-maintained fairways, panoramic vistas of the surrounding valleys, and small crowned greens that demand high approach shots. Rental equipment and carts are available. There is a choice of playing nine or 18 holes.
Tobiano Golf CourseNot far from Ashcroft and Cache Creek, along the Trans-Highway Canada towards Kamloops, Tobiano is set on the rolling bluffs and canyon-cut ravines overlooking the dramatic Kamloops Lake. Tobiano is a Thomas McBroom-designed course named Canada's best new course in 2008 by numerous golf publications including Golf Digest. The course's 14th-15th-and 16th holes overlook the lake. The gullies, and distances between greens and tee areas, make Tobiano an extremely difficult course to walk, so the green fee includes a cart. The course has an extensive driving range and practice facilities, an attractive clubhouse, pro-shop, and indoor/outdoor dining lounge. Clubs are available for rent.
