The company is based out of Prince George and Vanderhoof, servicing Northern British Columbia and Alberta. Yellowhead Helicopter Ltd has several bases throughout BC and neighbouring Alberta, one being in Vanderhoof. The business has several types of choppers, which carry 6 to 14 passengers. The third choice for flightseeing tours is Nechako Lodge & Aviation, located at Nechako Lodge, one of the wilderness lodges nearest Vanderhoof. The lodge has its own floatplane and offers roundabout air tours or destination trips focused on specific activities such as fishing or outfitting.
