Action-Packed Summer

During the summer months, Apex Mountain Resort boasts some of the Okanagan Valley’s best hiking and mountain biking. Close by the summer lakeside destination of Penticton, the resort is easy to get to for both day and overnight visitors. It offers a number of hiking trails, many of which pass through areas blooming with summer wildflowers and leading to exquisite views of the surrounding area, including Manning and Cathedral Provincial Parks.

Trail ride to Sheeprock Mountain, Barb Davis photo Apex is a key destination for hardcore mountain-biking enthusiasts. While the bike park caters to riders of all abilities, many of the runs have been developed for intermediate and advanced riders. The park also features a stunt area replete with a smooth rollercoaster, an arched rollover to banked deck and the start of a 6.7-m (22-ft) long skinny.
