Experience the history that is Yale as you explore our 1870's home & St. John the Divine Church (1863) with costumed interpreters. Gold Panning & Walking Tours also available. Yale: A Living History exhibit featuring 'Tent City,' a recreated Gold Rush town. Visitors can don period costumes, stroll through the town & interact with other visitors & staff. Discover Yale's past in the present though our unique glimpse into the 1858 gold rush. Yale: A Living History has had great reviews from both school & adult groups.
