The Huble Homestead is a heritage site located at the base of the historic Giscome Portage. Originally a farm & fur trading post, the homestead has been restored to its 1915 condition & is open to the public from May to Oct for guided tours, lunch & shopping in the General Store. Special events are held on weekends throughout the summer & feature blacksmithing & pioneer demonstrations, games & contests for the whole family & live entertainment. Huble Homestead is located 40 km north of Prince George, just off Hwy 97 on Mitchell Rd. Admission is by donation.

Huble Homestead is perfect for visitors of all ages. Families love the games & crafts available for children, seniors like to reminisce about the old days & everyone enjoys the entertainment & activities on event days.

Clothing/Gear Restrictions
Weather can change quickly, so it is best to be prepared with a jacket, good walking shoes, bug spray, sunscreen & hats. Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs, picnics & games.

Mobility Restrictions
The Huble Homestead Historic Site is wheelchair accessible. ONLY handicap parking is permitted in the lower parking lot, but guests are welcome to drive down to drop off & pick up members of their party who may have trouble walking.
