We take snow seriously in Glacier National Park. With more than 400 glaciers & icefields in the park & some of Canada’s most active avalanche areas, Glacier is synonymous with winter. The park is also home to part of the world’s only inland cedar-hemlock rain forest, grizzly bears, mountain goats & hoary marmots. Glacier’s rugged beauty, deep snow & challenging peaks attract outdoor enthusiasts. The park also has a gentler side: quiet, uncrowded campgrounds, picnic areas & interpretive trails. The railway tunnels, bridges & snowsheds of Rogers Pass add to the legendary history of Canada’s second oldest national park.
